Ripple Boards- the people, the company, the good times
Geepers, our first blog post, this is a momentous occasion. And we’re feeling the pressure- is it hot in here?! Damn fluoro propeller hats, do nothing to keep us cool!..
Well, how do you start something that you hope will one day become legendary? Like what was Wikipedia’s first entry? Oh how did the Bible start again? Oh well, who cares, we’ve stuffed our chance to make a grand opening now, so let’s just get into it shall we?
For this first blog post we thought we’d tell you about who we are. Why? Because introductions is where all relationships start my son!. You wouldn’t buy a house with someone on your first date, and so why would you buy a SUP board from some shmucks you know nothing about? So stoke that imaginary camp fire we’re now sitting around and let us tell you about ourselves. Ok, you can strum your imaginary Euakelali if you have to…
Ripple Boards was envisaged, created, and founded by us three guys (Dan, Bryn, and Nick). In addition, we’re helped by John, our board shaper of John Bowman surfboard fame, Matt, who manages warehousing and distribution, and Trix, who helps with board design. We’re all based out of Adelaide, South Australia, but we travel the country frequently, so watch the skies for the Ripple Jet! (may say JetStar on the tail- typo) We’re all proud that this company is 100% owned and operated, by the US of Australia yol!
All our lives we have been passionate about health, physical training, and watersports. SUP boarding is the ultimate culmination of these three. Bryn has spent more time out on the water than most humans ever will, having represented Australia in rowing at the London Olympic Games (Men’s Rowing 8), and in a bunch of World Championships before that. Nick has also represented Australia in rowing on several occasions and now works as a medical doctor. And finally, Daniel’s background is in health science and the medical appliance industry.
If you’ve got any questions for us please don’t hesitate to get in touch! You can email us via the ‘Contact Us’ page, or you can give us a holler on the phone numbers located at the bottom of every screen. So call me maybe?
Happy Paddle Boarding.
