Built to be as lightweight and as durable as possible. We use the vacuum-bagging method, which uses negative air pressure to optimise the bond between foam, fiberglass, and resin during the lamination process. This is a labour intensive technique but it results in a stronger, stiffer and lighter board.

Board Construction
Built to be as lightweight and as durable as possible. We use the vacuum-bagging method, which uses negative air pressure to optimise the bond between foam, fiberglass, and resin during the lamination process. This is a labour intensive technique but it results in a stronger, stiffer and lighter board. Resulting in a 13kg total board weight.
Components:
- 24kg/m3 EPS foam core (ultra light weight)
- 3 layers of 6 ounce woven fiberglass and epoxy resin on both the deck and underside. In addition, a layer of bamboo veneer is added to both the deck and underside.
(Beware, many other board makers only use 2 layers of fiberglass to save on costs)
- Overlapping of fiberglass layers along the rail- this gives the board maximal stiffness and strength.
- Integrated central carry handle.
- GORE-TEX automatic air vent
- This allows air to pass in and out of the EPS core in response to changes in board temperature. The vent is automatic (i.e. water resistant but air permeable). Therefore, you don’t need to open and close the vent each time you take the board in and out of the water!
- Removable fins.
- Additional fiberglass added around the fin box for extra strength.
- Stainless steel screws around the fin box.
- Leash plug and leg rope.
- High gloss wax polish finish.
Dimensions and Size Guide
Beginner paddlers: select a board that displaces at least twice as much water as your body weight (in kilograms). This size will offer good stability, will paddle faster, and will allow you to catch even the smallest of waves.
Experienced paddlers: you may prefer a board that displaces less water than twice your body weight. You may be happy to trade reduced stability for improved manoeuvrability and transportability.
Size Guide:
We find that the 31.7” width is the sweet spot for both stability and paddling comfort. Wider boards force shorter paddlers to reach away from their body during paddling (which is very uncomfortable). Wide boards also result in the paddle scraping the rail during each stroke, which damages the fiberglass.
